This Privacy Policy explains what StoryGenie collects, why, and your choices. We aim to comply with Canada's PIPEDA and applicable privacy laws.

1. What we collect

Account data: your email address and password (stored hashed).
Usage data: the stories and episodes you generate, downloads, and basic activity needed to run the Service.
Payment data: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details — only limited billing status.
Messages: anything you send us via the contact form or by email.

2. How we use it

To provide and improve the Service, process subscriptions, send transactional emails (verification, password reset, receipts, support replies), and respond to your requests.

3. Service providers

We share limited data with providers that help us operate: Stripe (payments), Brevo (transactional email), Cloudflare (DNS, email routing, security), and AI image/voice providers used to render videos. They process data on our behalf under their own terms.

4. Cookies

We use a single essential session cookie to keep you logged in. We don't use advertising trackers.

5. Data retention

We keep your account and content while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data.

6. Your rights

You may access, correct, or delete your personal data, and withdraw consent to marketing at any time. To exercise these rights, email [email protected].

7. Security

We use reasonable safeguards (encryption in transit, hashed passwords). No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.
